New purchase & Bay throttle cable

Folks. Having disposed of the orange rusty 'roofectomy' case camper, i have just brought another back last night in better condition. Had to suffer 250 miles with a kinked throttle cable, causing not enough travel to get to 50 mph, at the same time revving like a bastard at idle. Having done these on a Beetle, i am used to threading things in tight spaces. Any similar gotchas on a 73 bay ? This one seems to have had the main side panels seams filled in badly?? which is very odd. There doesn't seem to be any rust coming though yet, so will attempt to dig this all out again. The engine is a B case, single port non doghouse 1600. End float is negligable, but lower cyl tin is missing. Glad i only got 50 then. Interior is intact, classic westy design & pop top is complete. Usual spaghetti of PO wiring under dash together with the usual holes where switches have been Pics in due course, got back late & needed sleep.
