last year I switched my wife's buggy from gen. to an alternator, I used speedy Jim's website wiring diagram. Every thing was fine last year, the alternator can't have more than 50 hours on it and that is being generous. this year just went to get her buggy out for the summer and the battery was dead (new 2 years ago) jump start car starts right up remove cables immediately dies. charged battery over night, buggy starts right up, meter reads 12V. the light that speedy Jim had me wire in to jump start the alternator ( I forget exactly how he described it, something about showing draw or something) does not light. reading speedy Jim's web site it says the light should light if the alternator is not charging. It is hard to believe that the new bosch alternator is bad after sitting over the winter. it is internally regulated. I put a different little light in there to see if the light was burn out, that one also did not light. Don't know if this is related but the head lights also do not work, checked fuse, not blown. Is there another test to test an internally regulated alternator ? In other words SPEEDY JIM HELP !!!! lol Thanks David
