I have a few parts for a VW vert that I was saving, but now wish to sell and would like to give the readers here a chance to buy them first.
I have a set of tailights with (snowflake?) Hella lenses that are intact and complete that are circa 1960. They have very little rust, but can be cleaned and repainted easily. The chrome rings around the lenses are still shiny but have some pitting. The glass is intact and clean/clear.
I also have a swivel rear view mirror circa 1960, that is not in good shape, but could be re built by a person with the right tools. The spindals that the visors hang on are pitted and worn, as well as the mirror spindal. The core part that mounts the mirror to the vert and holds the spindals/rods is in great shape. I am thinking that someone could have a new set of spindals tooled to replace the old ones. The mirror swivels loosely on its spindal and the glass could use replacing.
I have a clean speedo that is dated 5/56. Great shape,works, very clean except for some pitting on the outer chrome ring. The needle is missing as while I was cleaning the face, the needle broke off. The odometer numbers are a bit flaked off but readable.
I have the dash grill plates that fit on either side of the speedo. In great shape.
