So, to change subjects, I got a free vw today.  71 std.  someone was going
to make a back half trailer out of it, so its cut almost in half.  All that
wasnt cut was about 2 inches of the tunnel.   You should have seen the roof
flapping in the wind going down the interstate at 75 mph.  I had to slow
down because I thought it would rip in half.

But, its free!

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

Sounds like the 68 beetle I was given It ripped in half when I was
dragging it home.Stopped on the side of the road and cut the front end
off and crammed it in side of back end. Bolted a tow bar to the pan to
get it home.About a mile from home I got stopped by a cop and get a
ticket for towing a trailer full of VW  junk with car plates on the
back. With a hitch and two tires on the ground the cop considered it as
a trailer.  The Judge laughed it out of court and I got out of the
ticket. My lucky day.

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

how much bondo would "that one guy" have to pack into that thing to make it
"solid" like Joan's car was?

<snicker>

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

You know, I actually considered restoring this car to prove a point.  Im
still thinking about it.

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

Trey, you've got nothing to prove... if you want to restore the car, do it,
but it's not worth doing to prove a point to someone that is in such a state
of denial that they won't even see the lesson...

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

LOL how has this not become a thread about me.  You puppets keep me
rolling on the floor.
I have restore a dozen since Brad did joan's ans still waiting for you
experts to do 1  come on I've had cars winning at ever show   and not
one of you whiners will even try.

thanks for the laugh

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

Now that the thread is about me  I have a story to add

One morning on my way to the shop I saw a beetle on the back of a boom
truck that was split up the middle long ways, and wanted to get a
picture so I had to run to the shop and get the camara.

When I was taking pictures the owner of the boom truck came out and
said he was going to take it to the scrap yard I half jokingly told
him I pay $50 for parts cars.  He came back with I know where your
shop is for an extra $25 I'll drop it off where you want.

For 15 yr it was a restaurant for Herbies in Greensboro ( not the one
the Good ol volks meet) and know is my shop sign.  Whats funny is this
70 bug didn't look like it was in bad shape and came with a set of pop-
out windows (worth more then the $75)

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

you told this story years ago, and the popouts are only worth about 25 bucks
for the late models... do you EVER tell the truth?

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

So new set of pop-outs cost $300+ but an original set is only worth
$25  lol if this doesn't show how screwed up you are nothing does..
oh don't get me wrong I know you can find them cheap but Again its
business and I would never sell a set that cheap..

And I didn't make it about me you did...and as far as it goes I am a
funny guy just ask my customers when we joke how stupid you are.

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

you are talking about late model pop outs.. they are available on the samba
classifieds reguarly for less than you pay for a can of filler.... you are
not in touch with reality in any way...

but you do show quality work... the pictures speak for you, since you
won't... but they don't lie, so they are reliable, unlike when you *do*
speak..

EXAMPLES OF THE WORK FROM VINTAGE WERKS RESTORATIONS! no opinions, just
pictures that speak the truth and only the truth, unlike that lying shitbag

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

Cheapest I see on the 1st page of the samba when serching pop out
windows in this area are $65  and i don't spend that a year for filler
on the many restorations I do.

Its you that needs a reality check  but keep on whining its great for
laughs

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

You don't spend that much on filler because you buy the cheap shit that
bubbles and pops off when your lack of body preperation sets in.  Ive posted
pictures of my cars here.  I've done much better work than you.  I KNOW how
to do metal work.  Other people have posted their pictures, and they do
better work as well.

There is a pair of popouts for 25, so keep looking.  You halfassed a search
for popouts like you halfass everything else.  Did you run out of time
because you had to go get another fix?  Did your parents have any kids that
lived?

Seriously, why the hell do you even post here?  You have no fans on ramva.
Consider posting your stuff on the samba.  There are a few threads over
there about you already.  You could use one of those to post your work.  Or
maybe callook would like to hear from you.

trey.

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

You could use one of those to post your work.  Or

he tried that recently at Cal-look, and as with everywhere he posts
pictures, the folks told him exactly what the pictures show... he loves the
negative attention, it's all he can get... If mario was as "good" as he
thinks he is, his work and customers would speak for him, but all we see are
crackpot cars and silence from customers... he sure does try to toot his own
horn, though...

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

Do I have to find all the attacks on people that have commented in my
behalf.   i'll stick to the show wins as far as my work goes and that
of the all the people that have the balls to come to my shop, which
you have more then then once you lack.

Get over it your shit talk has gotten you nowhere and won't  but keep
an eye on my webshots pages theres more to come

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

Could you please not type while you are taking another hit, or shooting up,
whatever you do.

But, from what I could understand...

I would love to be able to stop by your shop.  If I was local, I would have
done so already.  I'd be more than willing to put an end to your crappy
work.

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

Great, now Mario is emailing me directly.  The funny part was, I got an
erectile disfunction email right before his.

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

Yeah, he used to email me... he used to IM me... he stopped when he realized
no amount of chin music would make Joan's car look any better to me...

Re: Something not related to that one guy.

Hey Chris just the fact that you have to 2 inch my restorations to
find flaws on cars that were not meant to be show cars but do win when
shown is a compliment.  I have seen cars that the owners spent 3 times
what my customers do, have more flaws.  I'm not in it to pick apart
the cars.
My 64 beetle and the Ghia  were put together as sale projects  and the
Bahama blue 66 was meant as a daily driver for the owners wife..not
bad that they win at show...and they all have...more then once,  Ask
the owner I'm sure he as a very respectible person in this area, and
some what of a local hero will tell you the truth that you can't seem
to handle.

you having 1 car in primer(including rubber) and another that needs
metal work for yrs is why I do this.. fine so you can do it  and
better so you think but somepeople want it done before they retire and
or dont have the skill... What part have I lost you on.

I feel sorry for you because this seems like something that has
consumed you and others , Even joan moved on (I'm sure knowing she was
wrong)
She seemed to take the money and run.

I have said more then once as long as cars keep coming in I'm going to
do this. You haven't shown where your willing to learn the truth but
relish the idea you can get attention.  VW's are my business posting
pictures and such is just part of it.

Lets see pictures of your engine build or other progress you have made
in the last 2 yrs.  Or is it a waste of time bringing one of the only
2 ghias to show up at a show ( there were more then 2) or just let
them sit and rust in the back yard?
