Urgent: need pre-67 bug shifter asap for charity

the curved type.

story here:

formatting link
Needs to be shipped to Bentonville, AR 72712 as soon as baseball, to get a stranded & broke lady back on the road. We already got her engine rebuilt. Looking for donations, but the community will likely be able to pay something, reimburse shipping cost at least.

New shifters can be bought for $20, but a used original will probably be better quality.

You have the older curved type, with a locator pin at the bottom ball thingy to keep it from rotating?

I guess I'm surprised nobody local had the parts. Theres a bunch of VW's around that area and a big VW salvage yard fairly close by there. Lots of old VW's sitting off in pastures and woods also.

Gee. The guy lies, cheats and steals for years but there seems to be, surprisingly, some difficulty with this transaction. Actually, I AM suprised: Mario should be forthing at the mouth for any nod towards acceptance after all the people he's defrauded.

On the other hand, I've got a better idea of what the price of integrity is these days. Depressing as it is. I guess dishonesty is the new black.

While you're at it, there's a certain lady that I believe you owe $9,000. Pay her back and then I will not view your "generosity" as completely disengenuous.

Meyer, I'm with you. I wouldn't take a bottle of water from that fucknut if I was dying of thirst in the Sahara desert, as I wouldn't be able to live with myself or die with an ounce of dignity knowing he probably stole it from someone else in far worse shape than me. But hey, out of sight, out of mind apparently is the mantra with some folks and if Mario hasn't ripped THEM off, he must be an okay guy, right?

Oh, and before I forget, eat a shit-covered dick, Mr. Gavazzi, you despicable thieving pile of shit.

Somebody just posted something on another website that sums it up perfectly:

"I stopped posting to RAMVA all together for that reason. You don't allow a thief in your midst and allow him to brag about it."

that is somewhat silly... someone appearing in this group does not equal acceptance.. this is an unmoderated group that can be accessed by *anyone*, no matter who they are or what they've done... we "allow" him no more than we "allow" you or I...

Sickening.

I wonder who Mario stole it from.

No kidding. That's my thought exactly. Generosity is somewhat muddied when it comes from a known thief and con man.
