where to find Weber DFAV pressure cover?

Hello Ramva! A friend of the local VW club is trying to build a turbo setup for his bug. He has a new unused Weber DFAV he'd like to use. Since this carburetor is really uncommon around this parts, He's had no luck finding a pressure cover (the venturi cover with the 2" intake coming from the turbo) for his setup. (He plans to put the carb AFTER the turbo). I told him he could get it built, but he said he'd rather buy it because he doesn't know anyone capable of doing it right. Any ideas on where to find this?

BTW, is this a good carburetor for a 1600cc turbo bug? Any advice on it?

TIA, Karls

My son uses an IDF style Weber 40 on his 1641 cc blow thru turbo engine setup. It was street driven for a year, and has been drag raced exclusivly for the past three years. Carb hats and baseplates for turbo's are readily available for IDF's,as are jets and info. It was quite a task to get everything balanced out,and tuned, but last race it ran 6.44 @108.(1/8 mile). The jets change from the top without carb disassembly. There is a lot to have in place for the turbo setup to work properly, get all the GOOD information you can.You need to know about rising rate fuel pressure regulators (fuel pressure must be above blower boost and regulated by boost pressure),Decel popoff valves - that prevents pressure spikes in carb, and keep turbo spooled between shifts, and boost triggers ignition timing retard-(prevents spark knock under boost-sure engine death) Buy the book turbomania for some( not all) help
