I have a 95 850 Turbo with an Automatic Transmission.
Actually this is the 3rd transmission. At 60K Transmission Lock-up and Volvo Replaced it even though it was out of warranty. At 137K the transmission was replaced with a Refurbished Factory Unit. Now at 167K it is doing something unusual. Sporadically it will not shift into 2nd gear. I have pull off to the side of the rode , turn the ignition off and restart it and every thing is fine.
Mechanics drained and filled tranny (Which was pretty dirty) but can't figure out whats wrong.
No codes have appeared and the fatal UP shift Arrow has not appeared.
I am thinking (hoping) that it is something Electronic.
The car is equipped with IPD ECU Motrinic, which I have had for about 4 years.
Any thoughts as to what the Problem is.
