C70 info needed....

Hi.. Where can I find detailed info on a 2000 C70 convertible- what options it was available with, etc..

I have a 200 we bought used. It has 17" alloys, (the ones with the 'bolts' all around). The wheels are badly beaten up.. (gashes, etc) and need to be replaced.. I understand this car was also available with 16" wheels, and may have even come with 18's.. I would like to explore my options, and most likely replace the 17's with 16's..(softer ride, etc...)

thank you!

Your best bet is to approach a few Volvo dealers. They should have alist of all the choices you have AND the price it will cost you. A set of 4 mags can set you back $2K+ .

Badly treated rims are usually not a good sign for the general condition of a used car. They are usually the first thing I 'm looking at to determine how the car was treated in general. Did you check the geometrie of the suspension before you bought the car?

Where I think you are right: 16" are usually more comfortable than the

17". They have also much less the tendency to follow bumps on the road. They are also cheaper to purchase.

The other thing is the look. 17" look much better and fit nicer in the wheel wells than 16" ;-)

Personally I would in the first place contact a Volvo-Dealer and give him the opportunity to offer real Volvo-wheels.

Your welcome,

Joerg
