That little light in the dash that tells you when you have a burned out light is on, but all my lights appear to be working. I believe that this circuit looks for inequal current going to the two sides of the car. Any ideas how to track this down?
As an added data point, about a month ago, the light in my (broken) center console was shorting against something and blowing the fuse (and lighting this dash light). The short is fixed, but the light is still on. Sometimes it takes a whle to come to full brightness; you start the car, turn on the headlights, and the dash light starts very dim and then gradually gets brighter. Putting it in reverse can make the light go out, or almost out, but then it starts to come slowly back on again.
Thanks for any ideas!
