engine yet it does not start. I purchased a new fuel pressure regulator
and tommorrow i am goin to put it in. I am thinking that is going to be
the problem. I did a test with the built in tester and got a code that
said Throttle switch signal missing. could that be a big problem too? I
reset it using the manual by clicking it into position but i am not sure
that did the trick. I anyone has maybe a solution they could share i'd be
very greatful. I have a 1989 740 GLE volvo 16-valve thanks so much.
Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator
It may be flooded, or need new plugs. While taking care of that, charge
the battery.
Might want to clean the contacts on the throttle switch, and the
internals if you can get to them.
Also, look for any broken wires on sensors--my 145 quit one day
when one wire to the temp sensor used by the FI system came out
of the connector.
