Got my cool high-mileage badges from Volvo

You can just call Volvo, give them your VIN and vitals and they send you a badge for every 100K miles you've got on your car. Pics below.

Does it still have to have a Volvo engine to qualify? :-)

Not if it had a diesel engine. These were made by VW/Audi (VAG) for

200/700/900 series and 850/S/V70 Mk.1/S60/S80 prior to D5 from Volvo.

Cheers, Peter.

I guess not. As long as its got a Volvo VIN, they don't ask what engine it has.

Only Volvo purists will be offended, and I'm not one. KennyH

I don't know, but you can go to

and do a badge search. You'll find the links to Volvo or the number to call there. KennyH

I just bought a '65 122S with 67000 miles. I can add 33000 miles in a year, the way I drive. Will they go by the odometer reading, or do you have to have service recors to prove the mileage?

Thanks!

Try the VOC forums. Go to

formatting link
and on third page in open menu top left , scroll down to forums and check in General forum and it's archive. There is a movement on to produce UK based high mileage badges. It would be best to register as a forum member to enable replies to posts, it not being necessary for VOC membership to use the forums. You can join the VOC from the website if you wish. Cheers, Peter.

Hi James,

AFAIK, no, which is a pity......... "160000" would be more impressive than "100000", and "320000" even more so, compared to 200000 ! I've reached

260000 Km on our '93 240 Classic wagon and it seems unfair :-) that it's still not worth a second badge.... Ah well, that's the Metric System for you.................

As that is only 162,500 miles I am not surprised. My car has done more than that and it is a '96 model.

Cheers, Peter.
