Problem w. radio 1998 V70

The radio shows OFF after 3 incorrect security code attempts were made you need to get the correct radio code from your Volvo dealer then key must be left on in position 1 for approximately 2-4 Hours or until the radio displays code once again

The wrong radio code has been entered 3 times. You will need to leave the key turned on to position II or drive for two hours with the radio turned on. This will reset the radio to accept the correct code. If the radio has been changed out and you do not have the correct radio code, take the car to any Volvo dealer and they will have to remove the radio to get the radio serial number then look up the correct radio code. There is no other way to reset the radio execpt leaving it powered up for 2 hours. If the 2 hour time is interupted, you will have to start again for another 2 hour wait. BD
