I have a 2007 S-60 which has a small storage compartment in the dash, near the radio. It's about four inches high, two inches wide and six inches deep. It looks like it's a box inserted into the opening in the dash. Is there an easy way to remove this box to put something else in its place?

Sounds like the space that was used for an in-dash mobile phone before Volvo discontinued that option in favor of Bluetooth. The box you have
*is* the fill-in option.
