Do you want one that is installed into the car or a portable? A very good portable that I use in my Passat is the Garmin StreetPilot.

You can see reviews of aftermarket GPSs at

I am aware of two DIN /ISO sized GPS based navigation systems:

Blaupunkt TravelPilot. If Blaupunkt's web site didn't suck, you could probably find info about it there. This unit gets middle of the road reviews.

Harman/Kardon (Becker) Traffic Pro. You can find it at

This is a $1500 uint. Both these units replace your factory stereo and provides navigation, FM radio and CD player. Both can control a CD changer. They both use voice prompts for navigation in addition to a small display. The Harmsn/Kardon unit gets great reviews.

There are a number of other navigation systemas available as well, but the other ones I know about require installation of a large separate LCB screen.
