Ive been prowling eBay for a while looking for a cheap vw diesel, so I thought I would check here too. It would either be a complete working vehicle or enough stuff to convert my 82 rabbit gasser to diesel. Does anybody have something like that for sale?

Since you have a 82 rabbit, why not update and look for a nice 85-86 golf/jetta diesel. On later models they changed the gearing and it's all wrong for my driving style. They were much better cars then rabbits and were plentiful a while back. Where I live it would not take longer then a day or two to find one. But it would be 10 years old with 300 to 400k miles on it and would be about $1500.
