Best and Worst Looking VW's of all time

Time to update and share my official list since the Eos has moved up recently.

Hopefully this car will get to Canada pretty soon.

Comments are welcome...

Best (best on top):

  1. Vanagon and Polo (tie) 19. Eurovan (newest bus) 20. Lupo and new Fox hatchback (tie)

Worst (from ugliest to less ugly but all here are still ugly):

  1. Kharmann Ghia (this also happens to be uglier than most any other make ever made in history except maybe a 1950 Studebaker which comes close) 2. Fox 3. 411 Fastback 4. VW Pickup (based on old Rabbit) 5. VW Transporter crew cab pickup truck (some put this at the ugly list) 6.. Thing 7. Squareback 8. Middle age Bus 9. A5 Jetta 10 Toureg (SUV) 11. What is A2 A3 A4 Golf? Do you mean Golf has 3 styles? In the same year, or VW upgraded Gold from A2 to A4?

These are the generations of Golfs. I think the approximate model years are

A1 1975-1983 A2 1984-1992 A3 1993-1998 A4 1999-2004 A5 2005-present

Of course if this is slightly wrong, someone will let us know pretty quick!

Of course everyone will have a different opinion. IMO the best VW ever made was the 1983 - 1993 Rabbit Cabriolet convertible (A1 Golf). Mine is a 1988 with 270,000 miles on it and running like a clock. It is a joy to drive.

Why do you think the Kharmann Ghia is ugly? To my eyes it is a beauty, but - as I said - everyone has their own opinion.

Are there any other Jetta owners ho remarked exessive rust building on the wheel hub and screws.Even the alurims was jamed on the metal parts, because exessive rust buid up.
