the entire thing or just the bulb?

If the entire thing, remove the grille (a few screws and one clip each side at the upper outer corner of each headlamp) and then you remove the assembly by removing four screws that hold it in.

if just the bulb, reach in behind it, unplug the wiring connector, remove the bulb (either a spring clip or a lock ring (I think it's the latter) holds it in), put new bulb in (don't touch the glass part), install clip/ring (whichever it has), plug in wiring connector, done.

The same is for the passenger side although to get to the bulb from in back you can't (the air intake is in the way). You have to remove the grille and remove the headlamp from the car to access the bulb in that case.

It is the lock ring on my 92. I always put a little lube on the connector of mine, find it helps keep moisture out. I've never had any trouble changing the passenger side bulb, from behind, on mine.

Give a man a match, and he'll be warm for a minute. Set him on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
