Can anybody tell me whether or not, in practice, the fitting of a strut-brace (upper tie bar) to a 1996 Mk3/A3 Golf cabrio makes any noticeable difference to scuttle shake?
I find the most obvious evidence of scuttle-shake is the groaning and creaking noises from the erected hood/top when the car is running over rough terrain. Are these noises eliminated, or at least significantly reduced, with a upper front brace fitted?
What do you know, guys?
