Jetta repair manual

I'm looking for a good repair manual for 2003 Jetta TDI. I don't intend to perform major work on the vehicle but rather simple PM and troubleshooting such as chasing down an electrical problem and needing a wiring diagram and schematic and how to access switches or disassemble the dash to reach them. My experience using Haynes Manual for my Toyota truck is that Haynes is a POS.

Anyone have suggestions?

People seem to like the Bentley guides. I have one for my 95 Cabrio and it is excellent - infinitely better than, say, the POS Chilton guide for my 95 Ford Explorer.

The Bentley guides are available on CD or in book form. I've heard the CD is actually somewhat awkward to work with; evidently it's locked to one PC, which makes it hard to install or uninstall if you upgrade, and the interface is said to be not-so-good. I have not tried it. I have the book, and have always found it easy to search and easy to work with. And I've never had to reboot it :-) I got mine from

Go to E-bay and search for VW manuals. I bought one on cd and one in paperback this evening.

Good Luck,

I prefer the printed manual to because you can have it right where you're working and keeps the keyboard cleaner too.

Checked germanautoparts, ebay, barnes&noble, and amazon. Amazon seems to have excellent prices and free shipping on 1999-2005 Bentley Manuals. Thanks for the tips! Chuck
