Jetta versions A1 A4???

Nope. Early 1999 for the A3s.

Overseas there also is a slight adjustment to those numbers as well b/c the different generations weren't introduced at the same time worldwide.

This is the breakdown:

A1 is to 1983 Europe, 1984 North America A2 is 1984-1991 Europe, 1985-1992 North America A3 is 1992- not sure exactly when in Europe, 1993-early 1999 North America A4 is not sure sure exactly when in Europe - 2005, 1999 1/2 - 2005 1/2 North America A5 is 2006 Europe, 2005 1/2 North America - 2006.
