Why most of old VW diesel engine head has hair line crack between two valves . Is that common failure of this engine Thanks

Common problem, but not a failure unless its really bad. General consensus on the VW-DIESEL mailing list:

to peen the crack(s) closed or fill with something like JB Weld orhigh-temp filler, file flat and use it as-is.

Most of them old ones do it and VW said it's nothing to worry about.
