unfortunately, the tool i'll be using only uses one bolt, a nut, a metal bushing, and a metal cup that is placed behind the knuckle.
i need some other way to remove the hub.

Find a couple of correctly threaded LONG bolts to fit in the hub. I gotta find me some of these one day. lol
Maybe a good heavy hub puller.
Or a socket and BFH... and it WILL get that hub out! PLEASE wear safety glasses that really protect your eyes!!!
Are you using the Harbor Freight wheel bearing tool?

do you think a 3-arm puller will be able to pull the hub out?
Jim B.
It might be able to push it out from the backside, if the arms can grab onto something and it is a good strong 3-arm puller! Hey let us know if it works!

For not much more $$ than the "on the car" tool you can probably buy a 5 or 10 ton press, plus the bearing separator collar.
You probably will be able to get it close enough not to have to worry about an alignment, you won't need such a special purpose tool as the "on the car" bearing remover (the press can be used to press lots of other things on/off shafts), and you'll probably get the job done quicker. The on the car tool is really a pain compared to taking it off and using a hydraulic press. And then the press can be used to separate the hub from the inner race and that should definitely be way quicker than trying to use a screw puller mechanism operated bearing separator.
