Did anybody noticed that VW is always pushing Valvoline products? Anybody knows why not Castrol or other brands?

Maybe that dealer got the best deal from Valvoline to fill its bulk tank.

We must be a odd-ball dealer. Our bulk oil is Pennzoil and Castrol(TDI) from the parts department! That's your only choice at our dealer!

The manual recommends 5-40W for my Passat V6 in my climate. Valvoline makes a synthetic 5-40W which meets all of VW requirements. Jack

The VW/Audi coolant that the dealer sells is made by Valvoline. If you call the 800 # on the label they answer the phone "Valvoline".
