Don't forget you're comparing a forced induction diesel to a naturally aspirated gas engine. forced induction by itself can make for huge boosts in low end torque. just imagine the power of a turbocharged
6.0 gas engine (to keep it comparable to the 6.6l Duramax)... the thought of a 8.1 with a turbo.... it just makes me feel all fuzzy inside.-Bret
