I am being forced to buy a truck and found a '99 LS with 63K miles in central Texas. Are there any major concerns with either the body style or the engine, a 4. something, the largest V8 they offered. It looks good, has little user wear in the bed and interior, but some rust showing on the lower steering shaft and other low fittings. The aluminum on the alternator is oxidizing, but everything else looks fairly clean for a five year old truck. The suspension is very stiff, the tow package virtually unused, spray in bed liner unblemished, no new panels or resprayed areas, and only a few paint chips.
