Do you have any idea how many 69 corvette convertables were made with 427 ci and 4 speeds in them. I don't have a clue but there couldn't have been many me thinks..

There were 2838 427s that HAD to have a 4 speed (L71 and L88).

There were 12,604 other 427s which could have had a 4 sp or Turbo 400.

There were 10,475 300 hp 350s that could have had the 3 sp, 4 sp, or Turbo

That is 23,079 cars that a Turbo 400 could have gone in, but there were only

So another 8148 427s would have had a 4 sp plus the 2838 mandatory 4 sp 427 so you have 10,986 427s with 4 speeds.

There were 22129 coupes and 16633 convertibles. Using percentages again, you have convertibles being 43%. So 43% of 10,986 is 4714.

This is all just guesswork on percentages, however, anyway you work it, there were more than a few.

Since people ordering 427s back then were more inclined to go fast than cruise around, odds are most automatics went with the 300 hp 350 base motor than with the 427s so the number would be even higher..
