EGR Problem,1991 Acura Integra (2025 Update)
Hello! I’m having a very similar problem this gentleman described. My EGR Valve on the motor has been replaced, but there’s no vacuum pull happening.
All I know is that there’s a vacuum line running from the EGR Valve to the unit in the middle. The hose is intact.
I was told by a technician that the EGR solenoid needs replacing, showed this picture to a parts guy at the Acura dealer and he said the unit to be replaced is called a frequency solenoid valve. I’m not exactly sure what the accurate name is of the part(s) to be replaced
It’s the middle unit behind control box #2, pictured in the photo. Is this what you’re referring to as the valve lift solenoid? Or is it what you’re calling the control solenoid?
Am I trying to replace both?
I’ve got high NOX emissions due to no EGR vacuum pull. Thanks for any help you might be able to provide!
