Divest Chrysler?

The loss potential is enormous: billions of dollars in a single year. If there isn't drastic improvement--and soon--the German board of supervisors is bound to consider divestiture. They are well aware of how BMW prospered once it got rid of Rover.

According to Lutz, the replacement of the winning team of Americans that had built Chrysler was more damaging than the Germans realized. In fact, every key executive on the team that rebuilt Chrysler soon left the company, for one reason or another.
