my rear break line rusted through and im being told that the fittings on either end are two different sizes and that i either have to find another mustang '94-'96, because those are the only one's made that way, have a line specially made, or hope to find an adaptor that will work. is this true or am i being jerked around.

Yeah they are two different sizes and I'm thinking Ford did them that way to avoid assembly goofs. But the Mustang isnt the only Ford that 'features' that...
Go to an 'old timey' parts store. Or take it to a shop with REAL mechanics. Why am I thinking you are dealing with freakin' "Midas or Aamco" or someone like that?!!!!
And it's BRAKES!!!!!
