any known problems with 98 SW-2

I'm considering a 1998 SW-2 wagon as a replacement for my 94 SL-1 with

104,000 miles which is using oil faster and faster. Is there anything I should check out (recalls, common problems, etc) in that year and model before plunking down the cash?

I've had my 1998 SW2 since it was new. I've never had any serious problems with it. I finally replaced the original battery last month. I'm at around 120k miles. I'm still on my original engine, transmission, clutch, alternator, shocks, exhaust system, radiator, and it still runs great and doesn't burn oil[1]. For wear items I've replaced tires, wiper blades, and spark plug wires a couple of times, spark plugs a few times, and the PCV valve several times. I replaced the front brake pads and serpentine belt around 90k miles. I've changed a few bulbs and maybe some fuses. For repairs I had to get the horn relay and the switch for backup lights replaced under warranty. The sprayer for the rear windshield isn't working right now, but I haven't fixed it. The backlight on my odometer burnt out, but I haven't replaced it.

The car still runs and looks great. I love the plastic side panels. With a manual transmission it has always had plenty of power for me.

I enjoy the car very much, but it's probably my last Saturn. I don't care for their new stuff. I'm thinking about a Scion when it comes time to replace my SW2, but that will probably be a few years from now.

[1] When my PCV valve needs replacement, it burns oil. I replace it and it doesn't burn oil any more.
