What this means
⚠ Book a service. The codes you entered describe faults that get worse, or more expensive, if left.
What to doBook a workshop inspection. Normal driving is usual with these faults, but they should not be left indefinitely.

  1. P000C — Engine timing (service soon). The intake camshaft on bank 2 is responding to timing commands more slowly than it should. The engine computer asked for a change and the camshaft did not get there in time.

Checks to do first, in order

  1. Check engine oil level and condition first — this system is oil-pressure driven, and low or sludged oil is the usual cause.
  2. Inspect the bank 2 camshaft oil control valve and its connector.
  3. Have the timing chain and tensioner inspected if the oil is good; a stretched chain produces the same symptom.
  4. Verify the phaser itself only after oil supply and chain condition have been ruled out.
