What this means
⚠ Book a service. The codes you entered describe faults that get worse, or more expensive, if left.
What to doBook a workshop inspection. Normal driving is usual with these faults, but they should not be left indefinitely.

  1. P0101 — Fuel and air metering (service soon). The mass air flow sensor is reporting a figure that does not match what the engine computer expects for the current conditions. Readings are implausible rather than absent.

Checks to do first, in order

  1. Inspect the air filter and the intake ducting between the filter and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
  2. Check the mass air flow sensor element for contamination.
  3. Look for unmetered air entering after the sensor — a disconnected hose will produce this code with a perfectly good sensor.
