What this means
⚠ Book a service. The codes you entered describe faults that get worse, or more expensive, if left.

  1. P0131 — Emissions control (service soon). The upstream oxygen sensor on bank 1 is reporting a persistently low voltage. Either the sensor circuit is faulty or the exhaust really is running lean at that point.

Checks to do first, in order

  1. Look for exhaust leaks ahead of the sensor, which draw in air and mimic a lean condition.
  2. Inspect the sensor connector and wiring.
  3. Check for intake vacuum leaks before condemning the sensor.
