What this means
⚠ Book a service. The codes you entered describe faults that get worse, or more expensive, if left.
What to doBook a workshop inspection. Normal driving is usual with these faults, but they should not be left indefinitely.

  1. P0174 — Fuel and air metering (service soon). Bank 2 is running lean, for the same reasons as the bank 1 equivalent. When both banks report lean together, the cause is usually shared rather than local to one bank.

Checks to do first, in order

  1. If a bank 1 lean code is present too, look first at anything both banks share: the mass air flow sensor, the PCV system, or a common intake leak.
  2. Inspect the bank 2 intake hoses and gasket if only this bank reports lean.
  3. Have fuel pressure checked.
