  1. P0335 — Ignition (service now). The crankshaft position sensor circuit is faulty. This sensor tells the computer where the engine is in its rotation, so a total failure usually prevents the engine starting.

Checks to do first, in order

  1. Expect intermittent stalling or a no-start; plan for the vehicle to stop rather than being caught out by it.
  2. Inspect the sensor connector and wiring, particularly for heat damage.
  3. Check the sensor's air gap and the condition of the reluctor ring.
