What this means
⚠ Book a service. The codes you entered describe faults that get worse, or more expensive, if left.
What to doBook a workshop inspection. Normal driving is usual with these faults, but they should not be left indefinitely.

  1. P0441 — Emissions control (service soon). The evaporative emissions system is not purging fuel vapour at the rate expected. The purge valve is usually stuck, either open or closed.

Checks to do first, in order

  1. Check the purge valve — a valve stuck open causes rough idle and hard starting straight after refuelling, which is a useful symptom to notice.
  2. Inspect the purge line and its vacuum connections.
  3. Test the valve holds vacuum when closed and opens on command before replacing anything downstream.
