What this means
⚠ Book a service. The codes you entered describe faults that get worse, or more expensive, if left.

  1. P0463 — Electrical system (service soon). The fuel level sensor is reporting a value higher than its circuit should produce. The fuel gauge is likely reading wrongly.

Checks to do first, in order

  1. Do not trust the fuel gauge until this is fixed — running out of fuel is the real risk here, and on some vehicles it damages the fuel pump.
  2. Track distance travelled rather than the gauge in the meantime.
  3. Have the sender unit and its wiring tested; the sender is usually inside the tank.
