What this means
⚠ Book a service. The codes you entered describe faults that get worse, or more expensive, if left.
What to doBook a workshop inspection. Normal driving is usual with these faults, but they should not be left indefinitely.

  1. P2141 — Emissions control (service soon). The exhaust gas recirculation throttle control circuit is shorted low. The EGR system cannot regulate flow correctly.

Checks to do first, in order

  1. Inspect the EGR throttle connector and wiring for a short to ground.
  2. Check the EGR passages for carbon build-up, which loads the actuator and shortens its life.
  3. Verify the actuator moves freely before replacing it.
