e30 '90 325i cooling gasket - cork vs.? /glove box/heater resistor

Oct 24, 2005 0 Replies

things do come in threes.

First off, have a bad coolant leak that happened this weekend. The small gasket that connects the hoses to the throttle body housing failed. Has anyone successfully tried a material other than cork for this replacement part?

2 Lock on the glove box broke and it's stuck shut. Have a Chilton's book, but it's useless for these types of repairs. How to remove the bottom part of the box to get the lock mechanism out?

3 Heater fan resistors failed, so I either have no fan or setting 4. Anybody know where the resistors are located in the car? It's US drive with A/C.
