Headers...Hooker vs Thorley vs Banks

I am looking into headers for my 1977 Suburban 2wd 454. Hookers about $175 Thorleys about $362 Banks about $1100

Banks dealer says the Hookers will leak and I will be replacing gaskets and retightening the bolts frequently. Has anyone had this experience? I am tempted to go with the Thorleys. The Banks are way to expensive for my vehicle. Any opinions on the Thorleys?

Thanks, Bob

It's no lie about the Hookers. I know some people who think all headers leak "if your headers don't leak take 'em back there broken" My father had a 76' k10 with a 350 and put hooker headers on it. He did have to tighten them everyonce in a while, until he wired them like a racecar, and never had a problem again. $0.02 He never had a problem with them leaking though.

Thorley Tri-Ys are the best IMO.
