Thanks GM or Delphi

Sat .morning left for a bus tour to Niagra Falls. 50 miles into the trip, I remembered that I did shut down the interior lights, when I left it in the parking lot! Dead battery? We got off the bus about

11;00pm Raining, wind, and ran for the truck...opened the door, no lights, no nothing! My wife said"Now what...nobody around for a jump!"

Put the key in the ignition after fumbling around...and vola! My

2003 S-10 pickup roared to life, with all lights on!

Why, because the Shutdown circuit, shut all the electrical systems, after

20 miutes of lights on, to conserve energy, while she waited to take us home!

Thanks again!

My 03 TrailBlazer has rundown protection too. I've left the interior lights on several times overnight.

Have done it a couple times on my 03 Silverado. Start up the next morning and see my Interior lights are on. Sometimes I turn it on when I'm in the truck a little longer then normal and then forget because it's normal for the Interior lights to go on for a little bit after turning the truck off at night along with the outside lights. Hop out and leave and forget I manually turned them on. Normally I never even touch anything having to do with the lights as it's all Automatic.
