I think most of these programs are a fix! I watched a recent Wheeler Dealers where they put a Cobra through the BIVA test and there was no way it would have passed! It had winged spinners on the wheels for a start - totally illegal (Para 16.12 of BIVA manual). Then the hood scoop had a sharp edge, a couple of guys that had put cars through the old SVA and the new BIVA said they couldn't see how it would have passed.
So what are these TV companies playing at?
I guess one should just treat it like most TV - Make Believe!
So far the only show that I can only believe is anywhere near reality is Mark Evans "A Car is Born" series.
