I'd like to replace the 2 pin can-style thermal flasher unit in my '69 Pontiac GTO with an electronic unit, similar to this one:
Anyone know where I can get a 2 pin electronic flasher unit here in the UK?
Thanks, Simon

Metro uses a two pin flasher, millions in the breakers or email me and I can send you one.

Trouble is the Metro had two 21 watt dlashers + one 5 watt repeater = 47 watts Many US built GM cars of the 60s flashed through 2 lamps at the rear ie
3x21watt = 63 watts, In 1969 it would be an electronic unit but a bi-metal type, electronic flasher didn't come until the mid 1970s. Most electroic flasher unit should work using only 2 pins and will provided you choose the right ones the downside is the bulb failure warning feature won't work.
I don't know of a supplier, but my TTC truck cataloge lists a 12v
2-pin flasher, 1 to 6 x21w+5w. TTC P.No 1142.It doesn't say if it's electronic or not, but it does say specifically "from 1 to 6 signal lamps plus pilot" A commercial vehicle specialist should be able to get you one.Alex
simon try a motor bike shop steve-s
The 3 pins ones will work in a 2 pin car which you are talking about without modification. Just plug them on to the connector.
Assuming the pins are in a U configuration and the two pin unit is in a L configuration.
