94 Shadow Gauge Cluster Help Please

94 shadow 100 + K 2.5 L

Well my wife's daily driver has some gauge cluster issues, I replaced the head light switch because when you turned on the lights and the cluster dimmer was full to left she lost the RPM, AMP and Temp gauges and when you turned it all the way to the right all appeared to be normal.

I did notice that when you turned the dimmer knob was turned the AMP gauge dropped slightly when the lights were off.

Well I pulled the cluster and the back of the cluster on the right side where the Temp gauge is it was hotter than any other area on the board. Is there a way to tell if there is a short in the gauge by measuring resistance?

Also, there is a PC board on top of the cluster nothing smokes or burnt on the board.

Any one know what the issue could be?

Well if anyone cares or a similar thing happens, there were several issues the connectors were dirty, the female pins needed adjusted, the female connector circuit board on top had warped and adjusted pins, cleaned all mating surfaces and this corrected the problem. Coasty
