My '97 XLT has an extremely popular color and trim package: Toreador Red with gray factory running boards and a white tape pinstripe (I bet this sounds familiar to many).
What I'd like to do is remove the pinstripe -- but not if I will harm the finish doing so. I want to make sure the clearcoat is not sprayed on OVER the stripe.
The question before the court: has anybody removed this tape pinstripe, and if so, how'd it go? Many thanks.
