Best manual/book on 1988 Jeep Comanche Eliminator

There's the Hayne's, Chilton, any others? Comments on them? Anyone got one they want to get rid of?

I want to be able to service and support my new (to me) truck. I'm not terribly mechanically gifted (much more experienced with computers than cars), but it's a secondary vechicle to us, so if it takes me a little longer to get something working, I'm ok. I also don't have the original owner's manual, so I'd like something to replace that as well.

So far, I know that the serpentine belt is loose, and I've got a bit of an oil leak to diagnose. Oh yeah, and I need to replace the brake pads.

I ordered the factory service manuals for my 88 MJ. I use the Haynes manual for a quick lookup, but when it gets at all involved there is no substitute for the FSM. The difference is one 6 inch stack of manuals vs. a single one-size-fits-all aftermarket volume.

You da man! Quick search for "Jeep XJ FSM PDF" turned up a link! Thanks a bunch! Not sure how legit it is to post it, but if someone else needs one, drop me an e-mail at snipped-for-privacy@mysocks.shaw.ca (remove mysocks to send).

Got a bit of reading to do now! :)

Cool, I have had these files for a few years and I still use them. Last weekend it helped me troubleshoot an AC relay. KH
