Roof top cargo bags

I need to get a roof top cargo bag for my Libby. One of the soft types that collapses for storage. Waterproof. 13-15 cu ft. There's a lot of choices out there but I'm wondering about two things:

  1. Some descriptions say "fits most factory installed rails". With that in mind, I guess another requirement would be that it attaches securely to the Libby's 2 side rails without the need for additional cross rails.

  1. In general, are these soft cargo bags likely to sag and rub/rest on the roof? Or do some have rigid internal skeletons that keep them off the roof?

Recommendations are better than ads - so what brands/models have you guys been happy with that you would recommend?

Hi Eric,

In my experience, the bags will sit on the roof and they've got straps and buckles that tether it to the rails.

This one does have a soft bottom to protect the roof, but anything that gets between the two will do damage.

I've been using a roof-top rack with a waterproof bag from EMS. This is the rack:

I liked the prices and service from these guys, no affiliation. Not sure if the Libby rails will work with a safari rack like this, but it's worth a try.
