Warn 8274 Motor Problems

The synthetic stuff is NOT crap. It has several advantages over wire rope, including no fraying of wires to cut the user, it will not kink/ crush if wrapped over itself, it doesn't store energy like a steel cable ( I had a hard time buying that too), and it is lighter which is easier on the person dragging the cable out.

It's inability to be used as a heat sink and susceptibility to high temperatures is only a problem if you are using a winch that lets the drum overheat. If and when I have to put another new cable on my Milemarker hydraulic I may end up going with the synthetic rope.
