Why is it that the inner rear wing 45l fuel tank is only sold (by Mantec and others) for diesel model Defenders?
Is it only due to safety/crash issues?

So they may simply not advertise it for petrol, and in fact have probably not even assessed it for suitability for petrol, since the market is so small. JD
