First post here...
To anyone who has replaced the valve stem seals on their 300CE or 300E, how much did you pay and if you are in the SF Bay Area, could you recommend a mechanic? I have been getting estimate from $1800-$2100 and this sounds pretty expensive.

It sounds right... but that price must include total valve rebuild... not just replacing valve stem. Alot of time, it is just the valve seals are bad... which is dang cheap... like $20 a kit...but takes time to put them in.
